Oh the weather outside is frightfull......
but the fire inside's delightfull (something like that)....... LOL sorry weather like this brings those holiday songs out !
Who ordered this weather.... I know we needed more moisture after a low snow winter but OMG did it really have to hit all at once !
I left the house yesterday dubious of the warnings of BLIZZARD but prepared none the less. THIS IS COLORADO and I've lived here long enough to expect anything! Anywhoo My daughter and I were caught up in the white out yesterday ! It hit quickly...one minute it was partily sunny with clouds and the next thing we knew it was lightly snowing and then turned wicked..... All in the space of 2 hours !
It took us 1 1/2 hours to get from Briargate to Fountain yesterday.... Guess everyone else in the city didn't believe the forecast either..... Cars wrecked, rolled and sliding everywhere..... CHAOS ! Guess they didn' get enough practice this winter season and forgot how to DRIVE !
Its been drifting around our house and our 4 dogs have deceided this weather is not for them ! LOL So we have to encourage them out the door and down the deck to "do their business" no easy feat I tell you..... They are all short haired and despise this bad weather. So in "encouraging" them out one of us has to escort them out..... LOL and the youngest of the bunch (our 12 week old puppy) has to be carried down.....
Sooo plans for today.... Blizzard party at our house to include watching movies, board games, nap times and eating.... So much for Spring break plans to leave for the weekend.... LOL the kids are bummed but they'll get over it, Maybe some sledding if the winds die down some....
Ahhhh SPRINGTIME IN THE ROCKIES..... Gotta love it !

True....it's been a couple of weeks since St. Patrick's Day and I've been thinking...it really doesn't matter when and how you celebrate the holidays...just that you DO. I tried to get a table at Quinns on St. Patty's Day uh, yeah, so did every other Irish or so-called Irish or whoever since everyone is Irish on that day. I was NOT triumphant. Instead we enjoyed some great Greek food. So what! Sometimes you just have to make changes to accommodate situations in life. It's ok, really.
So realize that if you live in Colorado, you might be pushing the season to be thinking about your Easter sundress....instead you should get out your snow boots cause we're all gonna hunt eggs in the snow! Oh well.
