What you get is never...

...enough!  Sunshine.
But not the middle of July variety,
the rare first rays of spring.  It happens on one of those days when you hear a few birds chirp.
You get into the car and realize, you need the AC or you roll the windows down and flip back the sunroof.  It seems like being holed up in fuzzy socks and sweaty boots for the winter makes this first beckoning of a season change like a drug.  It's a drug that causes euphoic hallucinations of spring that's coming or is already here.  It comes without warning.  It doesn't matter if the damn ground hog sees his shadow or not.  It comes quietly and will sneak upon you.  When you realize it's here, when you notice what an incrediably gorgeous day you have before you you're already giddy.  You haven't the good sense God gave a goose to quote the grandmas and granpas.  yippppeee!  You want to skip across the yard with butterflies and birds following you in true Disney princess fashion.  You almost want to swing open your tower window and call to the birds and animals to surround you in your happiness.  You almost want to wonder what the author of this blog has been drinking  and where can you get some for yourself.  ahhhhhhh spring!  ahhhhhh love!  ahhhhhhhh  sandals ahhhhhhhh dinner on the patio....ahhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhh ahhhhhh

You know, I think as adults we don't experience so many NEW things as our children do and we become a little numb to the changes around us.  My wish is that we all learn to appreciate those little things that have no "deadline" or "due date" or "high interest rates".  I think the little things to appreciate are free and personally boost my mood to the highest.
Perhaps I've just had a little too much Vitamin D.
Oh well.

Happy Anne......

Just a little snow?

So, I totally agree with you guys that this weather has been great, but I can't help but feel somewhat jipped out of winter! I love eating soup and being wrapped up in my fuzzy blanket with a good book while the snow is drifting outside! Not to mention all the sledding and snowball fights!! I also feel that cold winter days are by far the best for having Harry Potter marathons (I'm boycotting the new HP for pushing back the release date from Nov. to May... ew).

But like I said, don't get me wrong! I love warm weather and everything that comes with it! I'm about to go hiking now! I just wish we had a few more snowy days! Not to mention we need the moisture like crazy!!

I hope everyone is having a rockin' St Patrick's day!!

Keep drinking that water Wingnut! Dr Oz will be checking in with you soon! LoL!

JIPPED out of SNOW?!OMG we

What I want....

YeeHaw....... What I want is a LOT of what your on Anne !  Share Sister, Share .... LOL :P

I do agree with you and I'm soooo looking forward to some warmer weather... Visions of hot days on the lake jetskiing invade my daydreams... walks along the riverside.... FUN in THE SUN !   Then the dreaded adult voice chimes in "Yeah but remember this is Colorado.... SPRINGTIME IN THE ROCKIES!"

For those of you who don't understand the phrase Springtime in the Rockies let me explain it for you.  You can wake up one morning with the birds singing, the sun shining and life is good.  Go to work,  come out at lunch time and think you went thru the Stargate ! Grey clouds hanging over the city, snow is blowing like the north pole and good golly those shorts don't cover enough to keep the freezing winds off ! ...LOL  wait that forecast can change day to day.... even minute to minute  !

Good thing is we are getting closer to warmer weather , so from a veteran Coloradan enjoy it while you can cuz its subject to change... RAPIDLY...

Me! :P
