Guess who died?...

It's really not my favorite game my mother plays with me but it's up there.

Today my mother went to the Oklahoma City where she ran into a former love interest..ok, he was interested...I was NOT. It was many years ago.  Not that he wasn't a great guy but sometimes fate has a way of deciding what's to be for you and later you come to appreicate it.
His name is Mark and he's now a state representative in Oklahoma.  A State Senator.  AND a Republican.  His wife, I'm sure, has a pair of those responsible, sensible pumps in every conservative color.
Ok, not that I mind this game so much, I'm sure she's just sharing (oh, and reading this now....HI Ma!  he he) but it always has undertones of "look how successful they are" and well, I'm glad but thankful for the way things turned out.
So a colleague tells me today.....you've dated a cop, and a cowboy and a...."my Gawd...you've dated the Village People!!!" Ok, not exactly, let me explain.  Yes, I've dated a cowboy, a musician, a reporter, an engineer, a lawyer, a doctor, a police officer, kinda a firefighter well...kinda.  An Army Officer etc.  but now I'm dating someone who racks up the high points better than any of these interesting but obviously very wrong for me individuals.
Boyfriend Chad is all of the above and then some.  He can fix stuff, talk to me like a friend, impress me like a teenage girl on a first date, dance with me and make me feel like a princess, drive in comfortable silence next to me while listening to our fave CD.  He's strong when necessary and soft as a fluffy kitten...ok, let'e rescind that..  It makes him sound "totally fabulous".  By the way, he's a guy's guy who loves being one but every bit ok with me having a fabulous guy friend (uh or girl friend, if you asked him).  It's just all the ingredients you'd put in the machine if you were at "Build-a-Boyfriend" in the mall.
So Mom, I love you with all my heart but when we play "guess who I ran into" I hope you know, well I know you do...that I ran into someone too...and he's absolutely perfect or at least my version of it!
by the way......I was reading the Obits, and "guess who died?"  that girl who was heartbroken with grief from going through years and years of Mr. Wrongs....cause I finally found Mr. Right!
